Music Video: Brown Shoe – Late Nights
You already heard the song, now feast your eyes on the mesmerizing new video for “Late Nights,” the first video in relation to Brown Shoe’s recently released fourth LP The Gift Horse. With directorial credit going to the Baggaley brothers’ cousin Brent Lasala, “Late Nights” takes an introspective dive into the band’s subconscious, digging out surreal imagery mixed with sleepless nights that are the result of romance gone awry.

Sometimes sexy – a few bodies rolling around in lingerie and underwear – sometimes strange – dudes in animal masks on public transportation – this new video sees each member of the band going through various unsettling occurrences while battling their own inner demons. Things do tend to get heavy for a bit, but take a turn for the better once the climactic, crescendo-driven ending reaches its conclusion, which sees the guys and their female counterparts breaking into a collective laughter… most of the guys, that is.

DOWNLOAD: Constant Deviants – Fulton Street
Following the release of lead single “Gotta Get Paid (Remix),” Constant Deviants are back with both a new song and the official release date for their forthcoming mixtape. Consisting of emcee M.I. and producer DJ Cutt, Constant Deviants are excited to announce a release date of November 6th for their upcoming Platinum: The Mixtape, which will serve as a preface to their forthcoming Diamond album, and in continuing to hold fans over until next month’s release, the duo is letting loose another brand new track, “Fulton Street.”.

“This song started out as a freestyle that we put on YouTube,” explains M. I. when speaking on the inspiration behind the creation of the track. “Our audience fell in love with it, so we added a hook and a second verse to complete it.” Pulling the production from a “vault” of beats, the tracks pulls together a collage of ambient chops, mixed with the vocal samples and DJ cuts, create the perfect plateau for M.I.’s lyrics to shine through on a song that, in what is easily becoming the standard for Constant Deviants, “captured the feeling of ‘The Golden Era’ while keeping it fresh.”
