Faimkills offers his new free album, GOOD TIMES FOR A CHANGE, an 11-track album featuring raps over some samples of his favorite 1980s, UK, punk bands The Smiths. The album was produced entirely by Curtiss King, and features guest appearances by Lt. Dan, Noa James, Curtiss King, VerBS, Faye Valintine, Waju, and Art Barz.

Hello, hello ladies & gentlemen! Been a while huh? This has been one of my most productive summers & somehow I’ve managed to still enjoy the outdoors. I moved to Brooklyn, New York in October so this has been my first official summer in NYC. The inspiration I’ve received from my new environment has definitely had a positive impact on my music.
Once the weather broke, I spent allot of time cycling around New York & through its parks. It reminded me how much I loved Rock Creek Park in my home town, Washington, DC.
This album is dedicated to Rock Creek Park & the memories its given me.
I won’t waist your time with my sentimental connection to Rock Creek. In fact, I’m almost certain you’ll hear it in the music. There’s a story behind every title on this album & if you care to know about this record beyond the sound, it can be found in the liner notes.

Once you achieve your goal, don’t look back…don’t come down! That’s the whole theme of “Top of the World”. Kenton was moved by the infectious Passion Pit track called “The Reeling” and eventually used a sample from it as the base. He chopped it up and just built from there with syncopated drum sequences, 808s, raw lyrics and vocal layers. Kenton finished it, took a ride to it with the windows down and it felt just how he wanted it to. Enjoy, Musik Junkies!

A double album of live and unreleased studio tracks, it will be the follow up to the critically acclaimed ‘IRM’ album, which came out in January 2010. ‘Stage Whisper’s studio material features collaborations with Beck, Conor O’Brien of Villagers, Noah and the Whale and Connan Mockasin.
